Brenda Birch Gallaher “Benny”
It is with heavy hearts that her family announces the passing of Brenda Birch Gallaher on Friday, June 30, 2023, at the age of 65. She was born in Hattiesburg, Mississippi and was a resident of Natalbany, Louisiana. Brenda was a creative, loyal, caring, tenderhearted, and trustworthy individual who loved writing, painting rocks, quilting and crocheting, especially socks. She loved cats, but adored Eleanor, her own furbaby. Brenda also loved traveling to visit new places. She was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, and friend who is already missed by all who knew her.
Brenda is survived by her furbaby, Eleanor; 4 siblings, Sandra Gildea, Norman Gallaher (Marla), Karen Bell (Kirk) and Jesse Gallaher; nieces and nephews, Jesse Hardwick, Kymberleigh Bell, Jessica Aline, Thomas Gallaher (Michelle), Richard Gallaher (Brianna), Benjamin Gallaher, Maxwell Gallaher, Abbey Gallaher, and William Gallaher; great-nieces and nephews, Xena Gallaher, Biyanka Gallaher-Williams (Makarious), Nehemiah Gallaher; great-great-niece and nephew, AJ Gallaher and Aurora Williams.
Brenda is preceded in death by her parents, Norman Harry and Bessie Freeman Gallaher; as well as her brother, Frank Norman Gallaher.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 2503 Old Baton Rouge Highway, Hammond, LA on Saturday, July 8th, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. until the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Holly Gardens Cemetery.

Please know that your kindness and generosity are very much appreciated as our family navigates through this heartbreaking event. The family extended an invitation to wear Green, her favorite color or Peach, the color for Endometrial Cancer in Brenda’s Honor for her service on Saturday.
