Brayden Wade Sanders passed away on Monday, June 1, 2026, at the age of 18. He was born on Friday, July 20, 2007, in Covington, Louisiana, to Cindy & Ricky Dale Sanders. He was a resident of Ponchatoula, formerly of Kentwood, Louisiana.
Brayden is survived by his parents, Cindy Prevost Sanders & Ricky Dale Sanders; sister, Joclyn Breann Sanders & her fiancé, Peyton Hare; brothers, Kristopher Sanders & Cole Wauters (Lauren); Brayden’s chosen sisters & brother, Katie Davidson, Sissy White, & Jeremy Peterson; nieces & nephews, Rylan Wade, Taytum, Hendrix, Nolan, Kirsdyn, Jocelyn, Everly, Harper, Easton, Cohen, & Mason; aunts & uncles, Gwen & Jay Anderson (GiGi & Jaybird) , Patrick Prevost (uncle bubba) & Natalie Prevost, Greg & Denise Prevost, Blane & Amy Sanders, Lynette Sanders, Shandale & Billy Haugh (Nannie & BB), & Melinda & Jeff Haugh, Shawn Brabham Fitzgerald (Auwn Shawn) many cousins; & special friends, Dixie Cowart & Emma Sumrall.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Nicholas Wade Sanders; grandparents, Aubrey & Sylvia Ann Prevost, Dorothy H. Prevost, & Roger Dale Sanders; uncle, Shannon Sanders; & aunt, Sandy Prevost.
Brayden lived life with a free spirit and a heart full of love for the people around him. He could often be found working on his truck with grease from head to toe, riding his four-wheeler & getting muddy, hunting & fishing, swimming, or most often with his guitar in hand, singing & playing the songs he loved. He enjoyed the simple things in life & had a way of creating memories that would last a lifetime.
More than anything, Brayden treasured the time he spent with family & friends. He shared a special bond with his niece, Taytum, & his nephew and namesake, Rylan Wade. Having a nephew named after him was something he took great pride in.
Brayden never met a stranger. He was funny, wild, adventurous, & always knew how to make people laugh. His goofy personality, contagious smile, & ability to make even the toughest days a little brighter are things those who loved him will never forget. Whether he was cracking jokes, singing at the top of his lungs, or convincing someone to join him on his next adventure, Brayden had a special way of bringing people together & making every moment more memorable.
His absence leaves an unimaginable void, but his memory will live on in every fishing trip, every country song played a little too loud, every gathering of family & friends, & every story shared about the good times. He will be remembered for his kind heart, adventurous soul, & the deep love he had for those closest to him. Though he was taken from us far too soon, the impact he made on the lives of those who knew & loved him will never be forgotten. Our red-headed angel, we love you more!!!
