Bonnie Maurer Stewart

Bonnie Maurer Stewart, age 78, entered heaven’s gate on Sunday, August 11, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was known to be the life of the party, who was always smiling even through the pain, with her there was never a dull moment. Bonnie was always sharply dressed for every occasion with the perfect jewelry to match. She was a self-proclaimed doctor and lawyer, and was usually right with what she was speaking about, and Mrs. Nosey when someone was on the phone, always having to know who it was and what you were talking about. When she wasn't in someone else's business, she was usually working on her crafting, such as, crocheting, drawing, sewing, watching the butterflies flutter by, etc. Bonnie enjoyed hanging out with her sisters up the road, they called it hanging with the weekend clan. She was a jokester, who always had something smart to say. Bonnie was a happy go lucky lady whose favorite food is vanilla ice cream and was confidently planning on entering and winning an ice cream eating contest coming up. But, most of all she loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and her family, especially her grandchildren. She was mother figure to all her nieces and nephews and many others, she loved everyone. Bonnie was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend who is already deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her children, Mary McKnight (Gary), *favorite son* Dallas Stewart (Christy), Helen Perry (Jesse), Bonnie Henderson (Kelby); step-son, Carter Stewart Jr. (Connie); grandchildren, Tiffany McKnight, Renee Williams (Todd), Marc Gulotta Jr. (Lettie), Monique Ellis (Cody), Casey Smith (Tolar), Micheal Schexnayder Jr., Cody Stewart, James Gulotta (Kristi), Brandon Stewart (Danielle); 15 great-grandchildren as well as numerous extended great-grandchildren. Bonnie also leaves behind her siblings, Marion Maurer Jr., Maggie Whiddon (Charles), Dianna Mason, Linda Whiddon (Travis), Brenda Russell; sisters-in-law, Mary Lou Maurer, Faye Tate, and Bobbie Stewart.

To my favorite and only daughter-in-law, Christy: "I did not get to choose you, that honor was my son's, and a blessing from the start, you were more than just a daughter-in-law, you are also my daughter in heart."

Preceding her in death were her husband, Carter Norwood Stewart Sr.; grandson, Dallas "DJ" Stewart Jr.; step-grandson, Mark Smith; siblings, Nita Maurer, and Stanley Maurer; parents, Mary and Marion Maurer; and her sisters-in-law, Faye Maurer; and her brothers-in-law, Gary Mason, Calvin "Buddy" Russell.

"To my nephew Bryant Russell, "Tomorrow!"

"And all the boys are going to miss their Christmas socks"
