Bobbye Jean Mashon Carona

Bobbye Jean Mashon Carona, 79, a resident of Independence, Louisiana passed away on October 29, 2020 at North Oaks Hospital. She was born October 14, 1941 in New Orleans, La. to Hulen and Alberta Mashon. She was married to the late Louis Carona and together they touched the lives of many generations of families through operating Carona's Bakery for 40 years. She placed her genuine love for God, family and friends above all other things.

Bobbye is survived by her two children, Keith Carona and wife Helen Carona of Hammond, La. and Karla C. Booth and husband Mark Booth Sr. of Independence, La.; 2 brothers, Hulen Mashon and wife Frances and Marc Mashon and wife Santa Marie; sister in law, Virginia Fisher; 5 grandchildren, Michael Carona (Lauren), Mark Booth Jr. (Jessica), Mallory C. Dykes (Lance), Courtney Booth and Ryan Booth; and 4 great-grandchildren, Harrison, Harper, Benson and Cohen.

Bobbye is preceded in death by her spouse, Louis Carona; parents, Hulen and Alberta Mashon; brother, Harris Mashon; and sister Mary Ann Mashon.

A Private Funeral Service will be held for the family on Tuesday, November 3, 2020.

Interment will be at the Colonial Cemetery Mausoleum in Independence, Louisiana.
