Bobbie Thames Costa

Mrs. Bobbie Jean Thames Costa, age 76 of Independence, Louisiana, passed away on Friday, February 28, 2020, at Camelot Community Care. She was born on Wednesday, December 15, 1943, in Tylertown, Mississippi, the daughter of the late Jesse Ray and Thelma Jeanette Hart Thames.

She was a retired shift supervisor for the Hammond State School.

Bobbie is survived by her daughters & sons-in-law, Betty Jean and Anthony Prescia, JoAnn and Vincent C. Lato, Thelma Lynn and Douglas Wallace, son, Charles Gill; grandchildren, Tiffany Prescia, April Lato, Brad Lato, Amanda Owens, Ashley Mayers; great-grandchildren, Brady and Brody Burrescia, Parker, Piper, Carter, and Ryleigh Lato, Madilyn, Sophia, and Bentley Owens, and Ryan and Jase Mayers; brother & sister-in-law, Robert and Mary Thames, brother, James Thames, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlo Costa, granddaughter, Jessica Prescia, sister, Barbara Rogers, and her brother, Lee Thames.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am.

Services will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel in Hammond, on Tuesday, beginning  at 11:00 am, with Rev. David Cutrer officiating.

Interment will follow at Colonial Cemetery Mausoleum in Independence, Louisiana.
