Billy Ray Shelton was born September 11, 1982, in Independence, LA, and passed away April 27, 2025, at his residence in Tickfaw, LA. Billy is survived by his wife, Julia Schafer Shelton, mother, Mary Jane Berne Shelton; children, Tyler Ray Shelton (Olivia Rayner) and Shaylin Noel Shelton; granddaughter, Oakley Mae Shelton; sisters, Bridget Mae Shelton, Brenda Marie Shelton, and Belinda Mae Peco; and brother, Arthur Ray Shelton, Jr. He is preceded in death by his father, Arthur Ray Shelton, Sr.; son, Cameron Vance Shelton; maternal grandparents, George Felix Berne and Ida Pauline Howell Berne; and paternal grandparents, Haston Shelton and Mae Emma Shelton. Visitation will be at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Boulevard, Hammond, LA, Sunday, May 4, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. until memorial services at 2:00 p.m.
