Billy "BJ" C. Mulkey Jr.

Billy "BJ" C. Mulkey Jr., of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, peacefully passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at the age of 42. He was born on Tuesday, June 1, 1982, in Hammond, Louisiana, to the late Billy C. Mulkey Sr. and Mary Ima Rankin.

BJ is survived by his mother, Ima Rankin, and her husband, Robert “Willie” Rankin; son, Blaine Jacoby Mulkey; significant other, Amber Beard; stepmother, Rochelle Mulkey; half-siblings, Skylar Mulkey and Justin Mulkey; step-children, AJ, LJ, TJ, and CJ; granddaughter, Jordyn Ann Overman; sister, Hollie Sharp Ford; brothers, Adam Mulkey and Chris Mulkey; and his closest uncle, Troy Vicknair, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his father, BJ was preceded in death by his sister, Shelley Mulkey; uncle, Keith Vicknair; aunt, BeBe Moss, and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Family and friends will be received at The Way Christian Center, 45418 Durbin Rd. Hammond, Louisiana 70401 on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm.

A Funeral Service will be held at The Way Christian Center, 45418 Durbin Rd. Hammond, Louisiana 70401 on Tuesday at 1:00 pm, with Pastor Gary Quave officiating.
