Betty Geanne Pierre

Betty Geanne Pierre was born August 24, 1945, in Independence and passed away at her home April 19, 2025, in Folsom. She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed LSU and the Saints. She is survived by her daughter, Charlene; son, Wade; grandchildren, Amber, Stephen, Sean, Lauren and Amanda, Brett, and Samantha; great grandchildren, Gage, Briggs, and Collins; and her brother, James and wife, Bonnie. Betty is preceded in death by her husband, D.L.; infant daughter, Shirlene; son, Paul; parents Delis and Evelyn; and siblings, Delos “DeDe”, Carleen, Sarah, and Milbert. Visitation will be at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 North Morrison Boulevard, Hammond, Tuesday, April 22, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until funeral services at 12:30 p.m. Interment will follow in New Hope Cemetery, Folsom.
