Betty Michele Pourciau

Betty Michele Pourciau passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2018, at her home in Loranger, Louisiana, surrounded by her family, at the age of 72.  She was born on Monday, July 9, 1945 in Independence, Louisiana.  She was a devoted and loving mother, sister, grandmother, and aunt.  She was a very hard worker and deeply cared for her family and friends.

Betty is survived by her beloved family: son, John "Daren" Pourciau and his wife, Dr. Elizabeth Pourciau; son, Bruce "Dennis" Pourciau and his wife, Felicia Pourciau; sisters, Rosemary Pace, Josephine Leto, and Lillian Segeri; grandson, Brandon J. Pourciau; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Saragusa Michele and Casimano Paul Michele.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the chapel of Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 11:00 am.  Visitation will begin at 9:00 am until 11:00 am.

Interment will follow in Colonial Cemetery, Independence, Louisiana.
