It is with a heavy heart, we announce that Betty, age 82, went to her heavenly home on August 21, 2025. Throughout her life, Betty found tremendous joy in the smallest of things. A pop-in visit from anyone she loved would touch her heart so deeply and she would talk about it for weeks. Betty was known for her beautiful loving heart – pouring love into her family and never taking life for granted. She lived her life with deliberate joy and kindness. She truly was the heart and soul of our family and is already missed terribly. “To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord” 2 Corinthians 5:8. We give thanks to our Savior for the blessing of our beloved one’s life. Betty is survived by her husband, Brian; son, Huey and wife, Tracie; grandchildren, Brice Brown and wife, Shelby, Brodie McDonald, and wife Molly, Jacob Brown, and partner, Brooke; Blake McCrory; and fiancé, Abigail, Zack Stewart, and wife, Karagan, Christa Stewart, Kylie Whann, and husband, Christian, Evy Brown, and fiancé, Payton, Coy Flanagan, Kade McCrory, and Kasen McCrory; daughter in law, Vickie Brown; bonus daughter, Kisha Hoyt; great grandkids, Presleigh, Colt, Rhett, Ashlyn, Brooklyn, Braxton, Noah, Brady, Khloe, Kinsleigh, Scarlett, Tom, Leo, Ellie, Zephaniah, Micaiah, Azariyah, Raamiah, Remington, and Rugar; her fur baby, Bella; as well as many friends, extended family and loved ones. Betty is now reunited with her parents Jake and Evy Anthony, brothers, Eddie and Allen Anthony; son, Warren Yancey Brown; daughter, Danielle Elizabeth McCrory; and nephews, Henry and Edgar Anthony. Visitation will be at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Boulevard, Hammond, Tuesday, August 26, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. until services at 2:00 p.m. conducted by Rev. Eric Hattaway. Interment will follow in Briar Patch Cemetery.
