Betty Lummus Mcdonald

Betty Lummus McDonald, of Hammond, Louisiana, passed away at Live Oak Village of Hammond on Saturday, January 1, 2022, at the age of 91. She was born on Friday, April 11, 1930, in Leesville, Louisiana.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Susan Johnson, sister, Rose Corley, grandchildren, John Robert "B.J." Peterman, Brandon Peterman and  Sean Peterman, great-grandchildren, Ethan, Seth, Gracie  and Annabelle Peterman.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Gene P. McDonald, son, Daniel G. McDonald, parents, Raynor and Gussie Lummus, and sister, Bobbie Sue Lummus.

Family and friends will be received for a memorial service at First Baptist Church of Hammond, 401. W. Morris Ave. Hammond, LA 70403 on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 1:00 p.m.

A graveside service was held at Greenlawn Cemetery prior to the memorial service.
