Betty L. Lotz

Betty L. Lotz peacefully left this world on January 1, 2018 at 12:35 am in Covington, Louisiana at 88 years of age.  She was born July 19, 1928 in New Orleans, Louisiana.  

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert H. Lotz, Jr. and son Teddy Lotz.  Also by her parents, Lionel C. Larrieu and Olga Ebeyer; 3 brothers, Lionel (Bubby) C. Larrieu, Conrad Larrieu, and Russell Larrieu.  

Albert and Betty moved to Ponchatoula in the 1970s.  Betty was an active member of Shiloh Homemakers and served as Worthy Matron of the Eastern Stars at Pine Grove Lodge, Ponchatoula, LA.  She also worked at a Larrieu owned business, Ole Plantation Sausage Co. as a secretary.  Betty was one of those special people who gave it all.  She loved all people and she was dearly loved.  

She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Parr and her husband John; sons, Herbie Lotz and his wife Judy, Rusty Lotz, and Richie Lotz and his wife Tammy; three grandchildren, Rebecca Lotz, Brittany Lotz Hastings and her husband Ben, and Sarah Lotz; one step-grandson, Jacob V. Parr and his wife Stacie; one great-grandson, Brooks Hastings; three step-great grandsons, Chace and Blake Parr and Brady Hastings; three sisters, Olga L. Hubsch, Marilyn L. Chavanell, and Audrey L. Cox; and one sister-in-law, Sandra Larrieu.  

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Ponchatoula, 100 W. Magnolia St., Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454, on Friday, January 5, 2018 from 11:00 am until the Funeral Service at 1:00 pm conducted by Pastor Kent Newell.  

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Alzheimer's Association in Memory of Betty L. Lotz.
