Betty Jo Mckneely

Betty Jo McKneely, of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, passed away at her home on Monday, September 26, 2022, at the age of 74. She was born on January 31, 1948, in Hammond, Louisiana, the daughter of the late Harry H. McKneely, Sr. and Lana Ward McKneely. Betty Jo retired from the industrial technology department at Southeastern University. Betty Jo was an enthusiastic football and Saints fan, and she loved ladybugs and cross stitching.

Betty Jo is survived by her stepdaughter, Christy Lawrence, step-grandson, Collin Bickford, sister, Susan McKneely, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, Betty Jo was preceded in death by her brother, Harry H. McKneely, Jr., nephew, Claude E. Fowler, Jr., and numerous beloved fur babies.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401 on Thursday, September 29, 2022, from 9:00 am until 10:00 am.

A Funeral Service will begin on Thursday at 10:00 am.

Interment will follow at Ponchatoula Cemetery in Ponchatoula, Louisiana.
