Betty Brecheen O'Brien

Betty Brecheen O'Brien passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2022, in Springfield, Louisiana, at the age of 75.  She was born on Friday, November 22, 1946 in Independence, Louisiana to Gladys Brecheen and the late Ernest Walter Brecheen.  She was a resident of Springfield, Louisiana.  Betty had a love for growing flowers in her garden, as well as going fishing. She was an avid reader and was known to be very knowledgeable. Betty also loved listening to gospel music.

Betty is survived by her husband of 58 years, George O'Brien; son, Shane O'Brien (Kim); daughter, Heather O'Brien (Heath); mother, Gladys Brecheen; sister, June Coates (Coy); brother, Edward Brecheen (Andrea); grandchildren, Kolby Everett, Kaylee Everett, Kole Everett, Sarah O'Brien, Keelyn Brock (Christian), and Cameron O'Brien; great-grandchildren, Ava Grace O'Brien, Adien Tate Brock, Ronnie Ray Everett, John Luke Everett, and Everleigh Nell Everett; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and church family at Killian First Baptist Church and Brides Missouri Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ernest Walter Brecheen; daughter, Misti Erica O'Brien; and brothers, Elbert Ray Brecheen and Earnest Jerrel Brecheen.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Killian First Baptist Church, 27994 Highway 22, Springfield, Louisiana 70462, on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, beginning at 12:00 PM until the funeral service begins at 1:00 PM.  

Interment will follow in Springfield Cemetery, Springfield, Louisiana.
