Benjamin was a native and resident of Albany, LA.  He passed away  January 11, 2021, at age 85.  A U.S. Army veteran, Benjamin was a retired engineer for LA State Department of Transportation and Development.  He is survived by his daughter, Rita Wortmann (David); son, Benjamin Foster, IV (Jeannie); sister, Audrey Booth (Truman); grandchildren, Samantha Davis, Annie Foster, Dylan Whitehead and Jesse Foster; and great grandchildren, Parker Davis, Avlynn Whitehead, Kole Davis, and Trace Davis.  He is preceded in death by his wife, Roberta “Bobbie” Foster; parents, Elizabeth and Benjamin Foster, Jr.; and sister, Betty Ann Amberg.  A private graveside service will be held at Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, Slidell, LA.
