Barry Dennis Ward

Barry Dennis Ward passed away on Friday, April 19, at home surrounded by loved ones.  He was a beloved husband, father, and papaw, and a friend and mentor to many. He was 82 years young. 

He is preceded in death by Venus and William Ward, his parents; Lynette Lewis Ward, his first wife of 50 years; and 1 grandson, Joshua Blayne Dale; also a brother, Frank Ward.

He is survived by his 2^nd wife, Mary Breaud Ward; his two children, Greg and Karen Ward; and a sister, Andra Haney. He also leaves behind to cherish his memory 7 grandchildren, Jessica, Gabriel, Emily, Carolina, Caleb, Gregory, and Samantha; and 14 great grandchildren. Also, his good friend and caretaker, Donna Hanson.

He was well loved and respected as a veterinarian in the Covington area for over 40 years. He was also very active in Covington Presbyterian Church where he served as an elder, taught Sunday school, and led the youth group. 

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
