Barbara Jean Bigger Miller

Barbara Jean Bigger Miller, of Loranger, Louisiana, passed away at Richard Murphy Hospice House on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at the age of 82. She was born on Friday, July 16, 1943, in West Allis, Wisconsin, the daughter of the late George Bigger and Marion Carlton Bigger.

Barbara is survived by her sons, Jeff Miller (Joyce), Robert Miller, and Richard Miller (Rachel); daughter-in-law, Becky Miller; grandchildren, Trey Miller (Danielle), Spencer Miller (Hannah), Olivia Bock (Kelly), Cope Miller (Marinn), Brody Miller, and Joshua Miller; step granddaughter, Amanda Schexnayder; great grandchildren, Lucas Bock, Thompson Bock, Adalie Bock, Emelyn Bock, Julian Miller, Amelia Miller, and Scott Austin Miller; step great grandchildren, Michael Schexnayder III, Declan Schexnayder, and Anya Schexnayder; sisters, Sandy Whittenberg and Carolyn Oslund; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Darius Miller; son, Scott Miller; and siblings, Eugene Robert Hansen, Arlene Gentry, and Nancy Smith.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401 on Saturday, February 14, 2026 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Visitation will continue at Harry McKneely & Son on Sunday, February 15, 2026 from 12:00 pm until the Funeral Service begins at 2:00 pm, with Pastor Rodney Smith officiating.

Interment will follow at Oak Grove Church of God Cemetery in Loranger, Louisiana.
