Barbara Ann Jones

Barbara Ann Jones was born May 10, 1940, in Gonzales, LA to the late Percy Tanner, Sr. and Letitia LeBlanc Tanner. She passed away February 5, 2025, at her residence in Ponchatoula, LA. Barbara is survived by her children, James “Jimmy” Jones, Jr. (Marie), and Lorey Martin (Russell); siblings, Mary Alford (Jack), Frances Bacot, and Rita Roulet (Steve); grandchildren, Cody Jones (Ronnie), Mickey Martin (Melanie), Austin Jones (Brooke), Madalyn Mack (Cade), Hannah Clouatre, and Bayli Sanchez; great grandchildren, Riley Jones, Addie Jones, Rhett Mack, Oakley Jones, Ridge Mack, and Michael Clouatre; and a close friend and care giver, Richard Berlin. A special thank you to Barbara’s niece, Jackie for the love and care shown. In addition to her parents, Barbara is preceded in death by her husband, James W. Jones, Sr.; and siblings, Joyce Marie Lucita and Percy Tanner. Barbara loved working in her yard and had a green thumb. She also loved playing games with her sisters and grandbabies. She also loved to travel to see family and new places. Earlier in life she owned a day care and found much satisfaction in teaching catechism. Visiting will be at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 100 West Magnolia Street, Ponchatoula, Monday, February 10, 2025, after 9:00 a.m. until religious services at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Springfield Cemetery, Springfield.
