Arthur Virgil Baham

Arthur Virgil Baham, age 84 of Folsom, Louisiana, passed away suddenly at his home on Saturday, March 7, 2020. He was born on Sunday, September 29, 1935, in Independence, Louisiana, to Ambrose, Sr. and Aklen Reid Baham. Arthur never met a stranger, anyone he met was his friend. He enjoyed life and loved to play his guitar and fiddle, work on his tractor, car and truck, welding, gardening, helping people in his community, but he especially loved spending time with his family and studying the word of God. 

Arthur is survived by his daughters, Lisa Baham Sturgis and her husband Jason and Elizabeth "Liz" Baham, Kay Henderson loving daughter of his late wife Jo Anne, his grandsons, Alex Shaw and Dane Shaw, his granddaughter, Ashton Shaw, his brothers, Ambrose Baham, Jr. and his wife Iris of Loranger, Louisiana, Sherman Baham and his wife Charlene of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Allen Baham of Husser, Louisiana and his sister, Yvonne Huhner of Gretna, Louisiana, also many nieces, nephews and close friends. 

Arthur was preceded in death by his parents, Ambrose, Sr. and Aklen ReidBaham, his wife, Jo Anne Brown Baham, his sister, Myrtle Rodriguez and his brother, Garfield Baham. 

A Visitation for Arthur will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2020 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond. A Memorial Service Celebrating Arthur's Life will immediately follow visitation at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Burial of his cremains will follow at Noah Cemetery in Husser, Louisiana.
