Arthur Ray Shelton, Sr.

Arthur Ray Shelton, Sr., 69 years old of Tickfaw, passed away Monday, January 30, 2017, at his residence.

He was born on Sunday, September 7, 1947, in Independence.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Berne Shelton, sons and daughters, Arthur Ray Shelton, Jr., Brenda Shelton, Belinda Peco, Billy Shelton, Bridget Shelton, and Tony Jo Nuccio, grandchildren, Albert Shelton, Heavenli Cox, Phillip Trapen, Justin Trapen, Ben Peco, Jessica Peco, Tyler Shelton, Cameron Shelton, Shaylin Shelton, Mercedes Nuccio, Ryan Nuccio, and Ronald Nuccio, 10 great-grandchildren, sister, Bettie Granzer, and brother, Leroy Shelton.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Haston and Mae Graves Shelton, aunt, Madline DeSouge, and uncle Ray Albert "Buddy" Graves, who was like a father to him.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond, Sunday, February 12, 2017, from 1:00 pm until the memorial service at 3:00 pm in the funeral home chapel.
