Arthur Picou, 76, of Maurepas passed away on February 8, 2022. Â His wife and daughters were by his side when he drifted off to be with the Lord. Â Arthur was born on January 2, 1946, to Eno and Josephine Picou of Maurepas. Â He married Sylvia Sanchez, on May 21, 1965. Â They were married for 56 years. Â They had 3 daughters, Terri, Robin and Nicole; 3 sons-in-law, Tunnie, Shannon, and Rick; 6 grandchildren, Clay, Casey, Nick, Brooke, Austin, and Alex; and 7 great-grandchildren, Sidney, Addison, Vivian, Gracelyn, Riley, Reid, and Charlee. Â Arthur was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Â He took pride in his family and being involved in each one of their lives. Â Arthur retired from the Boilermakerâs Local 37 Union and finished his career out with Turner Industries. Â Arthur loved spending his spare time at the deer camp, fishing, or cheering on his grandchildren and great grandchild at sporting events. Â He served faithfully to the Lord through church and just his everyday example in life. Â Arthurâs personality will never be forgotten by anyone that met him because he displayed joy and humor in all that he did. Â He is preceded in death by his Parents, Eno and Josephine; brother, Willie âManâ Picou; sisters, Gloria âSnowâ Sanchez and Henrietta âMissieâ Landry. Â Visitation will be held Saturday, February 12, 2022, from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm with the service beginning at 12:00 pm. Â All will be held at The Church in Livingston, 26490 S. Frost Rd., Livingston, LA Â 70754. Â Burial to follow at Maurepas Cemetery. Â Pallbearers will be Clay Lauzervich, Tunnie Lauzervich, Casey Lauzervich, Shannon Richardson, Nick Richardson, Rick Aime, Austin Aime and Alex Aime.
