Arnold Anthony, a devoted husband, loving father, and respected river towboat captain, passed away leaving a legacy of integrity, dedication, and unwavering strength. Known as a man of his word, Captain Anthony held himself to the highest moral standards and earned the deep respect of everyone who crossed his path, both on land and on the water.

For many years, Arnold commanded river towboats with exceptional skill and leadership. As a captain, he did not just steer vessels; he guided, mentored, and inspired the crews under his command. His professional dedication was matched only by his commitment to his family, who always remained his greatest pride and joy.

Arnold is survived by his beloved wife, Brenda Anthony, and his children: Shelle Ard, Melanie Wells and her husband Mathew Wells, and Casey Anthony and his wife Jessica Anthony. He was the proud grandfather of eight grandchildren: Bailey Williams, Dustin Ard, Alyssa Ard, Caleb Ard, Ethan Ard, Laiken Wells, Beau Wells, and Briley Anthony. His legacy continues through his five cherished great-grandchildren, who brought immense blessing and happiness to his later years.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond, Louisiana. A private family viewing will take place from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Public viewing and services will follow from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Following the service, a procession will depart for Lee Cemetery in Folsom, Louisiana, where this captain will be laid to his eternal rest.
