Anthony Walter âSnakeâ Moschitta was born May 24, 1940, in Hammond, LA to the late John and Velma Mixon Moschitta and passed away peacefully January 23, 2022, in Covington, LA. Â He was 81 years old and a lifelong resident of Hammond. Â He was a retired employee of the Louisiana Department of Transportation. Â Tony is survived by his two sisters, Frances Dorsa (Joe) and Marcia Easley; two brothers, Johnny Moschitta (Evelyn) and Benny Moschitta (Annie); and nieces and nephews, Terri Wagner, Lori Fresina, Gina King, Donna Giovingo, Michelle Woods, Melissa Webb, Beth Fagan, Benny Moschitta, Jr. and Todd Easley. Â In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Elton Easley. Â Tony was a devoted brother, a special uncle to all, was a kind and generous person to friends and strangers and had the biggest heart. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to his nurse and niece, Lori Fresina, who dedicated her time and care of her âUncle Boogieâ. Â Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at Harry McKneely and Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Boulevard, Hammond, from 9:00 am until chapel services at 11:00 am conducted by Deacon Nat Garafola. Â Burial will follow services in Rose Memorial Park. Â Pallbearers will be Benny Moschitta, Jr., Tony Fagan, Todd Easley, Vernon Wagner, John Fresina, and Tommy Hazelwood. Â Honorary pallbearer will be Jackson Easley.
