Anthony Charles Cole, Jr.

Anthony Charles Cole, Jr., of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, passed away at Lakeview Regional Medical Center in Covington on Friday, February 5, 2021, at the age of 65. He was born on April 19, 1955, in Wilmington, North Carolina, the son of the late Anthony Charles "Tony" Cole, Sr. and Mary Angela Harvey Cole. Anthony was a devout Roman Catholic and lived his faith every day. He never missed watching the Tigers and the Saints play. Above everything, Anthony loved his family dearly. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, his favorite pastime was playing golf with his brother, and he kept in touch with his family in Charleston. Anthony leaves behind countless cherished memories.

Anthony is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Peggy Whitaker Cole; son, Anthony Charles "Chuck" Cole, III and wife Allison; daughter, Amy Cole Cheek and husband Jason; grandchildren, Madelynn, Andrew "Charlie," Harper, Lucy and Caroline; siblings, Samuel Harvey Cole and wife Cheryl, Mary Darlene Ward, Angela Julian, and Michael Cole; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401 on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 from 9:00 am until 10:30 am.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 600 North Oak Street, Hammond, Louisiana 70401 on Wednesday at 11:00 am.

Interment will follow at Rosaryville Cemetery in Ponchatoula, Louisiana.
