Annie Ruth Robertson Cook O'Neill

Annie Ruth Robertson Cook O'Neill, of Tickfaw, Louisiana, passed away at Heritage Health Care in Hammond on Sunday, September 4, 2022, at the age of 85. She was born on March 26, 1937, in Tickfaw, Louisiana, the daughter of the late Ray Robertson and Edna Addison Robertson.

Ruth was a faithful member of Milldale Baptist Church and continued to serve the Lord in her local church in her later years.

Ruth was a classy lady that always had an eye for fashion. Through the years she coordinated many of her niece's and close friend's weddings. She hosted numerous elegant events. Ruth was also a businesswoman, working many years as the owner of Check Control Systems and Ruth Cook Computer School until her retirement.

Ruth is survived by her daughter, Sylvia Sharp (Snorky); grandsons, Benjamin Sharp and Brian Sharp (Erica); grandchildren, Brianna, Elizabeth, and Max Sharp; brothers, Jimmy Robertson (Frances), Dock Robertson (Pat), Louis Robertson (Ginny), and Ed Robertson (Debbie); sister, Linda Sibley; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her spouses, William Cook and Paul O'Neill; granddaughter, Brandy Sharp; brother, Ray Robertson; and sisters, Geraldine Scott, Olga DuBois, and Joann Neames.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401 on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am.

A Funeral Service will be held at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home - Hammond on Tuesday at 11:00 am.

Interment to follow at Emmaus Baptist Church Cemetery in Tickfaw, Louisiana.
