Annie Laurie Ray

Annie Laurie "Sister" Ray passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, at the age of 75. She was born on Wednesday, March 28, 1951 in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Annie Rownd Ray and the late Robert Ray. She was a resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Annie is survived by her daughters, Anna Maria Ray Schilling(Tim), Carol Lockwood Martin(Jeremy), and Jennifer Gonzalez(Kirt); grandchildren, Christopher Martin, Jordan Martin, Rayanna Gonzalez, Eden Gonzalez, Lillian Gonzalez, and Carter Gonzalez; and numerous cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Ray; mother, Annie Rownd Ray; two brothers, Marcus Carter Rownd and Jerry "Boodie" Cole; and best friend, Dora Kelley.

Services for Annie will be held at a later date.
