Annie M. Lacara

Annie M. Lacara  passed away on Saturday, July 1, 2017, in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 84.  She was born on Tuesday, January 17, 1933 in Tickfaw, Louisiana to the late Lena Valure Orlando and the late Sam Orlando.  She was a resident of Tickfaw, Louisiana.

Annie is survived by her sons, Louis S. Lacara and his wife Cathy, Sammie V. Lacara and his wife Karen; daughter, Kat Lacara; step-son, Warren Wallace; grandchildren, Sammie Lacara and his wife Darla, Brittney Walton, Dana Cormier and her husband Jacob, Conor Walton and his husband Mark, Caramie  Lacara, Jacob Lacara, Christopher Lacara and his wife Amanda, Sonya Godwin and her fiancé Kris Sanchez, Joey Wallace, Kim Wallace, and Paula Wallace; sisters, Katherine Calderone, Lena Calderone, and Camille Lentz; 14 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Sam Orlando; mother, Lena Valure Orlando; husband, Salvador "Sam" Lacara; sister, Mary Gourges; two brothers, Vic and Tony Orlando; and son, Joseph Paul Lacara.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Our Lady of Pompeii Catholic Church, 14450 Hwy 442, Tickfaw, Louisiana 70466, on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 from 9:00 am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am.  

Interment will follow in Our Lady of Pompeii Catholic Cemetery.
