Anna Calamia Amerson

Anna Calamia Amerson passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at the Richard Murphy Hospice House in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 83. She was born on Thursday, November 6, 1941, in Hammond. Anna was a life long member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church. She always wore a smile, carried a big laugh and had a huge heart. 

Anna is survived by her son & daughter-in-law, Roy Amerson and Shari Robertson Amerson; daughter, Becky Amerson; daughter & son-in-law, Amy Amerson Burchfield and Aaron Burchfield; sisters, Mary Jane Hamilton and Lucille Picou; grandchildren, Ryan Amerson, Allie Amerson Heckman (Nick), Grant Amerson (de'Ette), and Camille Burchfield.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Amerson; parents, Samuel Calamia and Annie Pizzolato Calamia; and brother, Tommy Calamia.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2025, from 9:00 am - 11:00 am at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 600 North Oak Street, Hammond, Louisiana 70401. A Funeral Mass will commence at 11:00 am. 

Interment will follow in Rose Memorial Mausoleum.
