Ann Licciardi

It is with great sadness that the family of Marie “Ann” Licciardi announce her passing. Ann was a lifelong resident of Marrero, LA, until she required daily care and ultimately settled into a nursing facility in Hammond, LA in 2022. She passed away on September 26, 2024 after a 3 year battle with dementia. Although being legally blind for the past 30 years of her life, her resilient happiness and strength allowed her to still enjoy her regular activities and all that life had to offer with a smile on her face. She also never gave up on her favorite past time, “cutting a rug” to her favorite musician, Fat’s Domino. She was a loving, caring, full of life mother and grandmother. She loved the Saints and loved attending the games with her son. She was a season ticket holder from the very first game in Tulane Stadium. She was loved dearly and will be greatly missed by her family. 

Ann is preceded in death by Manuel Licciardi, her previous husband. She is survived by her son: Keith Licciardi, daughter-in-law: Milissa Licciardi; her three grandchildren: Jordan Licciardi (Blair), Brenna Licciardi (Mason) and Peyton Licciardi; two great-grandchildren Myles Licciardi, Margot Licciardi and Miller Licciardi arriving early November. 

Her family wishes to extend a special thank you to the caregivers, nurses and doctors who took such good care of her at Landmark Nursing Center, especially Erica and A’janai. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Landmark Nursing Center, 42250 N Oaks Dr. Hammond, LA 70403. 

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond, 2000 N. Morrison Boulevard, Hammond, Louisiana 70401 on Saturday, October 5, 2024, beginning at 10:00 AM until the funeral service begins at 11:00 AM.

Interment will follow at Rosaryville Memorial Gardens in Ponchatoula, Louisiana.
