Ann Duplessis Prine, of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on Monday, November 7, 2022, at the age of 83. She was born on August 4, 1939, in New Orleans, Louisiana, the daughter of the late Troy Duplessis and Alice Decoteau Duplessis. Ann was a loving and caring grandma and best known as "Maw Maw" to everyone she knew. She was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and worked for over 40 years in the cafeterias of St. Joseph, Holy Ghost and Mater Dolorosa Catholic Schools. Ann loved spending time with her family and she will be missed dearly.

In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Dillon "Pete" Prine; sisters, Dorothy and Joan Duplessis; children, Eddie Collier, Judith Anthony, Bonnie Trosclair, Patricia Prine, and Diane Yancovich; and grandchildren, Walter Collier, Victoria Baham, and Alaina Baham.

Ann is survived by her siblings, Ruth Ourso, Lois Freeman, and Troy Duplessis Jr.; children, Sharon Drago (Jackie), Penny Becnel, Melinda Pierre (Jimmy), Selina Blank (Glynn), and Justin Sutton (Naomi); grandchildren, Derrick Baham (Emilie), Brandi Alford (Dwayne), Sabrina Becnel, Raven Miley (Brandon), Mechelle Yancovich, Mary Lee Bryson (Patrick), Fred Trosclair (Christy), Kesha Butler, Jason Trosclair (Madeline), Amanda Collier, Brandon Pierre, Steven Pierre, Robbie Prine, and Billy Prine; great grandchildren, Alysa Warren, Kaylei Alford, Jace Alford, Dillon Baham, Dillon Sutton, Mason Baham, LucyMay Miley, Robbie Trosclair, Lane Miley, Levi Miley, Judith Baham, Devynn Hargett, Sydney Bryson, Marlee Bryson, Jack Carter Bryson, Coby Trosclair, Kace Trosclair, Brayden Collier, Jace McCutcheon, Lena McCutcheon, Ayden McCutcheon, Seth Pierre, Dalton Pierre, Collin Pierre, Ashton Barkley, Andrea Barkley, and Aspen Hargett; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 100 W. Magnolia Street, Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454 on Saturday, November 12, 2022 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am.

A Funeral Service will be held at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home - Ponchatoula, on Saturday at 11:00 am, with Deacon Larry Melancon officiating.

Interment will follow at Ponchatoula Cemetery in Ponchatoula, Louisiana.
