Anita Shields Robertson

Anita Shields Robertson crossed over to Heaven and joined her beloved husband, James, on the morning of Friday, July 7, 2017, at her home in Robert, Louisiana, at the age of 83.  She was born on Saturday, February 24, 1934 in Kreole, Mississippi to the late Bertell and Edgar Shields.

Anita was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Reverend James Ray Robertson; and her parents, Bertell Pittman Shields and Edgar Shields.

She is survived by her siblings, Louise (Harry) Boss, Carolyn (Gerald) Ballinger, and Stanley (Brenda) Shields; her devoted children; Annene Robertson, Rhonda Robertson, and Deedy (Joey) Kugler; grandchildren, Warren (Sabrina) Ferrage, Jamie Ray (Michelle) Ferrage, Trista (Shawn) Bates, Cole Just, Jerremy (Dixie) Kugler, Gabrielle (Steve) Sakamoto, John (Courtney) Kugler, Emily (Malachi) Even, and Danielle Kugler; great-grandchildren, Angelique, James, Joseph, Michael, Britt, Judah, Lauran, Tristan, Elijah, Courtlyn, Josiah, Malachi Jr, Kale, Erick, Simeon, Carsyn, Savannah, Talia, Micah, Ellamia, Lucy Ray, Noel, Israel, and Caleb.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Ceremony at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at 10:00 am.  Visitation will begin on Monday evening from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm and will continue on Tuesday morning from 9:00 am until the service time of 10:00 am.

Interment will follow in Robertson Cemetery, Hammond, Louisiana.
