Angelina "Angie" Navarra

Angelina "Angie" Navarra, of Hammond, Louisiana, passed away at Richard Murphy Hospice House on Thursday, May 12, 2022, at the age of 92. She was born on January 6, 1930, in Independence, Louisiana, the daughter of the late Dominick A. Navarra, Sr. and Rosalie Francimore Navarra. Angie was born and raised in Independence. She retired from Southeastern Louisiana University and lived in Hammond for the last 30 years.

Angie is survived by her sister, Joyce Dileo and husband Vince, sister-in-law, Barbara Navarra, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Angie was preceded in death by her siblings, Dominick A. Navarra, Jr. and wife Margarett, Josephine Evola and husband Michael, Mary Ann Navarra, Sara Burrescia and husband Jimmy, Phillip Navarra, Sr. and wife Bonnie, and Roy Navarra, Sr.; niece, Ramona Navarra; nephews, Dominick "Richard" Navarra, Roger Navarra, Vincent Dileo, Jr., and Thomas Burrescia.

Angie was wonderfully cared for by Charles and LaNita Green. Angie's family are forever grateful to them and their staff at L & C Caregivers in Hammond for all they have done.

A Graveside Service will be held at Colonial Cemetery Mausoleum, Highway 51, Independence, Louisiana 70443 on Tuesday at 10:30 am.
