Amparo "Ann" Deslatte

Amparo "Ann" Deslatte, age 76, of New Braunfels, Texas, passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2020, at home with her family by her side. She was born on Sunday, May 21, 1944, in A Coruna, Spain to Erundia Artime Arias and Armando Florez Lopez. Amparo also known as Ann, was a devoted military wife, mother, grandmother, and the glue that held our family together. She was affectionately known as Mawaw and Oma to her grand/great grandchildren, whom she adored. She was a strong willed and devoted Christian. Throughout her many travels around the world she always showed a genuine concern for everyone she came across. Her laughter, smile and kindness lit up the room.

Ann is survived by her devoted loving husband of 50 years, Larry P. Deslatte, her daughter, Priscilla Deslatte-Sierra, her grandchildren, Kori Walters, Zachary Hall, Noah Deslatte, Makenna Deslatte and Conner Deslatte, her step grandchildren, Brayden Youngren, Yvette Gallego, Mike Sierra, and Cristian Gallego, her great grandchildren, Carson Walters, Payton Hall, Charlotte Deslatte, Ana Deslatte and Elenor Deslatte, her step great grandchildren, Liam Gallego, Emmalyn Sierra, Rylan Gherke and Raegan Gherke, also many nieces, nephews and close friends.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Erundia Artime Arias and Armando Florez Lopez, her beloved son, Timothy Deslatte, her beloved daughter, Suana Deslatte, and her brothers, Manuel Florez Artime, Jose Florez Artime and Amador Florez Artime.

A Visitation for Ann will be held on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 100 W. Magnolia St. Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454. A Funeral Service Celebrating Ann's Life will immediately follow visitation at 11:00 am in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Wadesboro Catholic Cemetery in Ponchatoula.

Face masks are now mandatory to attend any visitation or service at the funeral home. Thank you for your cooperation.
