Alvin Ragan, Jr.

Our Dad, Alvin Ragan, Jr., was born on December 14, 1928, to Alvin and Adeline “Diddy” Ragan. He was affectionally called “Honey” by our Mom. He was an avid golfer at Oak Knoll County Club where one of his highlights was a hole in one. He retired from Sears and Roebuck after a 30+ career. He loved the Saints, LSU football and especially LSU Softball. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Blanche; grandson, Wade Ragan; and son in law, Wayne LeBourgeois. Dad passed away July 9, 2024, at the age of 95. He is survived by his children, Lana LeBourgeois, Danny Ragan (Karin), and Mona Ragan (Karen); grandchildren, Todd LeBourgeois, Brad LeBourgeois (Amanda), Wendy Granier (Kevin); great grandchildren, Alyssa LeBourgeois, Chase LeBourgeois (Alycia), Madison Kristonis (Lachlan), Michael Ragan, Colin Bates, Kamryn LeBourgeois, Kinsley LeBourgeois, Brantlee LeBourgeois, Oliver Granier, Alice Granier, Elliott Granier, Rylee Morales, and Addison Morales; and great great granddaughter, Violet LeBourgeois. Family and friends are invited to attend services at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 100 W. Magnolia Street, Ponchatoula, LA on Monday, July 15, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. Visitation begins at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Ponchatoula Cemetery.
