Alonzo William "Lonnie" Mccrory

Alonzo William "Lonnie" McCrory, of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, passed away at his home on Sunday, December 19, 2021, at the age of 85. He was born on December 29, 1935, in Ponchatoula, Louisiana, the son of the late William McCrory and Stella Joiner McCrory. Lonnie was a lifelong strawberry farmer and a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

Lonnie is survived by his wife of 53 years, Diane Lambert McCrory; grandson, Tyler Rick; sisters, Frances Manzella and Carol Manzella and husband Dominick; sisters-in-law, Pam Castell and Pat Morse and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Lonnie was preceded in death by his son, Willie McCrory; sister, Gladys Pittman; and brother, Wilfred McCrory.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 100 W. Magnolia St., Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454 on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm.

A Funeral Service will begin on Wednesday at 2:00 pm, with Chaplain Wayne Ratliff officiating.

Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Gardens in Hammond, Louisiana.
