Allen Levi Walley, of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, peacefully passed away surrounded by family at home on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at the age of 89. He was born on Tuesday, December 22, 1936, in Purvis, Mississippi, to the late Alline and Floyd Walley.
Allen found great joy in life’s simple pleasures, including fishing and following college football, with a special devotion to LSU Tigers football and baseball. He worked at Best Bolt and Nut Company for over 30 years and played a key role in its founding. As a child, he contracted polio but overcame it with determination and resilience, never allowing it to define who he was. In his younger years, he participated in the band and served as the baseball manager for Peters Junior High. Allen went on to live a full and beautiful life, surrounded by the love of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Allen will be deeply missed by all those who loved him.
Allen is survived by his wife of 34 years, Sunny Gail Thibodaux Walley; children, Sandra Walley (Sandi Puzzio), Tracey Smith (Glen), Dawn Tankersley (Hank), Nicole Martin and her late husband, Gary Martin, and Vincent Bianchini (Gina); 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Alline Temple Walley and Floyd Levi Walley; grandsons, Blaine Tankersley and Jace Martin; grandfather, Levi Walley; sister, Barbara Thiele; brother, Bobby Walley; and Brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Rose Bianchini.
The family would like to thank Compassus Hospice for their love and kindness during this difficult time.
Family and friends are invited to attend the Visitation at Harry McKneely and Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd. Hammond, Louisiana, 70401, on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 11:00 am, until the Memorial Service at 1:00 pm.
