Albertina Rodriguez Rubio

Albertina Rodriguez Rubio, 76 years old of Mandeville, Louisiana, passed away with her family by her side on Sunday, August 28, 2016 in Covington. She was born on Thursday, October 26, 1939, in La Polvadera, Queretaro, Mexico to Jose Rodriguez and Esperanza Rubio. Albertina was a very giving person and cared for many people.

Albertina is survived by her loving husband, Melquiades Rubio. She was a beloved mother to her children  Martin Rubio and his wife Edna Trejo, Saul Rubio and his girlfriend Sara Huggins, Arnulfo Rubio and his wife Carolina Medina, Sergio Rubio and his wife Stephanie, Maura Rubio Rodriguez and her husband Inosencio Lugo, Silvia Rubio Rodriguez and her husband Francisco Polo, Leticia Rubio Rodriguez and her boyfriend Luis E. Alcaraz, she was a beloved grandmother to, Magdiel, Diana, Omar and Gijela Lugo, Francisco Polo, Jr., Alison, Yarelli, Eduardo, Lilliana, Jonah D., Emiliano, Camila, Sergio, Luis E., Juzman, Noah and Isabella Rubio, her brothers, Jose Rodriguez and his wife Margarita Godoy, Franco Rodriguez and his wife Erendira Trejo, Armando Rodriguez and his wife Mitzi Castro, Laurencio Rodriguez and his wife Ana Campillo, Jose  Rodriguez and Gerardo Rodriguez and his wife Nelly Lopez, also many nieces, nephews and close friends

A visitation for Albertina was held on Monday, August 29, 2016 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond and will continue today, August 30, 2016 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Hammond. A Funeral Mass Celebrating Albertina's Life will immediately follow today's visitation at 11:00am in the church. Interment will be at a later date in La Lagunita, Queretaro, Mexico.
