Albert Edgar Baker

Albert Edgar Baker, age 82 of Tickfaw, Louisiana, passed away on Friday, January 25, 2019, at his residence. He was born on Tuesday, October 20, 1936, in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Albert was a 1954 graduate of Holy Cross High School, a member of the Old Arabi Neighborhood Association, worked with the food bank at St. Maurice Church, and President of the Sears Men’s Senior Retirement Club.  Upon relocating to Tickfaw, he was an active member of  Southeast Louisiana Amateur Radio Club.

He retired from Sears after 36 years as a Service Manager.

Albert is survived by his wife of 61 years, Rosalie Loria Baker; daughter and son-in-law, Mary Baker Lambert and Rene M. Lambert, daughter and son-in-law, Debra Baker Tabony and David Kreihs Tabony, brother, Eugene L. Baker, also survived by nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by parents, Albert J. Baker and Daisy Appe Baker.

Family and friends will be received at Our Lady of Pompeii Catholic Church, 14450 Hwy 442 Tickfaw, Louisiana 70466, on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am.

Services will be held at Our Lady of Pompeii Catholic Church, on Tuesday, at 11:00 am.

Interment will follow at Pompeii Cemetery, Tickfaw Catholic Cemetery in Tickfaw, Louisiana.
