Albert D. Bigner

Mr. Albert Bigner was a person who always put others first. He was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend. He was also a devoted Marine. If you knew him, you knew his life motto, Semper fi. Mr. Albert enjoyed spending time with his wife Pam, and mowing grass on the weekends. He loved all things computer. From rebuilding them, to playing on them, to searching the web. He was truly a computer wiz. For more than 25 years he was part of the Birch’s Auto family. Most days you could stop by the shop after hours and you’ll find Mr. Albert working. He would work late in order to get the vehicle back to the owner. He took pride in everything he did which rooted back to his motto of Semper fi, Always faithful.  He was kind and generous to so many giving a lending hand outside of work using his knowledge of cars. He was a very smart , intelligent man who knew everything about vehicles. Unfortunately Mr. Albert’s life here on earth came to an end before we were ready due to Covid, but we can continue to keep his spirit alive.  He is survived by his wife, Pamela Bigner; daughters, Donna Bigner and Tina Treitler; step-daughters, Omega Bruce and Cynthia Stovall; step-sons, Keith Stringer, James Stovall, and Jesse Stovall; mother, Peggy Bigner; brothers, Alan Bigner and Bruce Bigner; sister, Janet Morgan; and 12 grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his father Albert Bigner; and a brother, John Gary Bigner.  Visitation will be at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 North Morrison Boulevard, Hammond, Wednesday, September 15, 2021, from 12 Noon until memorial services at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
