Alan Carl "Al" Colson

Alan Carl "Al" Colson, of Roseland, Louisiana, passed away on Monday, April 24, 2023, at the age of 78. He was born on  August 17, 1944, in Bound Brook, New Jersey, the son of the late Joseph Komchowsky and Janette Priest Hamilton. Al was a former resident of Maine where he and his wife lived along Branch Lake for over 22 years. They moved to New Orleans and worked for Crown Video Gaming until he retired in 2002. Al was a carpenter by trade but it was also his passion. He loved keeping busy woodworking and helping his friends and neighbors. Al loved his family and his fur baby, Katie D, and he will be missed dearly.

In addition to his parents, Al was preceded in death by his step father, Robert Hamilton, and siblings, Charlene Leathers, Antoinette Kelley, and David  Colson.

Al is survived by his wife of 40 years, Patricia Colson, son, Chad Colson of New Hampshire, step son, Michael Boehm, daughter, Duska Colson of Massachusetts, 6 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, and daughter-in-law, Juanita Gulley. Also surviving are Dr. Paul and Jane Shapiro of Maine who went above and beyond as his best friends and neighbors, as well as dearest friends Ernie and Cindy Hebert of Livingston, Louisiana.

Services will be held privately. Family and friends are encouraged have a Mass said in his memory.
