Adrian Bryant Wilkinson

Adrian Bryant Wilkinson passed away peacefully during an afternoon nap on September 20, 2023, at the age of 59. His passion for trees, naps, and the Louisiana landscape was only surpassed by his profound love for his family and steadfast faith in God. 

Adrian was a man of remarkable talent. Whether in New Jersey, Louisiana, or any state in between, and even in Jamaica, he had the ability to fix or build anything he set his mind to. This knack for survival skills was a legacy from his father, and Adrian lovingly imparted these skills to his sons from the moment they took their first steps.

This guy was the quintessential family man. With a glint in his eyes and an ever-present mischievous smile, he relished in playfully teasing the little people, turning ordinary moments into fond, laughter-filled memories. His love, his humor, and his wisdom will live on in the stories shared, the advice remembered, and lives touched.

It should always be remembered that throughout the challenges of life, his faith in God remained unwavering.

Adrian is survived by his wife, Kelly Hartnett, his sons: Shoal Bryant Wilkinson, Eli Samuel Wilkinson, Kyle Patrick Wilkinson, his mother Doris Wilkinson, siblings: Luke Wilkinson, Kevin Wilkinson, Perry Wilkinson, Lee Wilkinson (Debbie), Barbara Hood (Mike), Lisa French (Mike), sisters and brothers-in-law: Carolyn Huffstickler, MaryAnn Hartnett-Smith (Eric), Timothy Hartnett, Doug Hartnett (Patricia), Christine Mathews (Coy), and Rebecca Durichek (John). And his beloved nieces and nephews that are too numerous to count.

He was preceded in death by his sister Laura Thompson, his father, J.R. (Tony) Wilkinson, brothers-in-law: Robert Merriman, Sr., Dennis Huffstickler, Thomas Hartnett, Jr., and David Hartnett;  parents-in-law, Thomas and Mildred Hartnett and sister-in-law, Nancy Wilkinson.

Those that loved Adrian Wilkinson are invited to join in remembering him on Friday, September 29 at 11:30 am for visitation with a funeral at 1:00 pm at Harry McNeely and Sons 2000 N. Morrison Blvd. Hammond, Louisiana 70401 

Burial will be at Twin Pines in Holden.
