Adrian L. Bailey

Adrian L. Bailey, of Hammond, Louisiana, passed away on Friday, January 20, 2023, at the age of 80. He was born on October 23, 1942, in Springfield, Louisiana. Adrian was a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was a longtime resident and dependable friend of the Metairie Lawn Drive neighborhood in Metairie and the Sisters Road neighborhood in Hammond. Adrian was a reliable and handy neighbor to have, a jack-of-all-trades helping wherever he could. His was always the porch you could visit to pass the time. Adrian was loved tremendously by family and friends, and he will be missed dearly.

Adrian is survived by his children, Adrian Bailey, Jr. (Lori), Duane Bailey (Kimberley), Danica Williams (C.T.), and Kristen Pitts; grandchildren, Adrianna Bailey, Dillon Bailey, Meaghan Bailey, Connor Bailey, Joel Bailey, Payton Williams, Ashley Williams, Candace Capps, Brandon Bailey, and Deanna Pitts; great grandchildren, Kelic, Litzy, and Breanna; siblings, Brenda Bailey, Marian Meyers, Cheryl McKinney, and Roger Dale St. Cyr; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lucien Bailey, Sr.; mother, Elizabeth Bazile Bailey St. Cyr; stepfather, Marion St. Cyr; brother, Lucien "Bud" Bailey, Jr.; and sister, Joan Bailey McKinney.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 100 W. Magnolia St., Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454 on Monday, January 23, 2023, from 9:00 am until 11:00 am.

A Funeral Service will be held at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home - Ponchatoula on Monday at 11:00 am.

Interment will follow at Carter Cemetery in Springfield, Louisiana.
