Ada Louise Pierre

Ada Louise Pierre, of Tickfaw, Louisiana, went to her heavenly home on Friday, March 19, 2021, at the age of 83. She was born on April 28, 1937, in Independence, Louisiana, the daughter of the late William "Mandy" Rainey and Myrtle McQueen Pittman. Ada was a caregiver her whole life and a loving mother who adored her two sons.

Ada is survived by her sons, William Ray Pierre, Sr. and Richard “Ricky” Pierre and his wife Joy, the daughter she never had; sister, Judy Pierre; brother, Johnny Pittman; she was “Team Maw Maw” to Crystal Pierre, Ricky Ray Pierre, Amie Cuti, and Cayden Cuti along with other numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Ada was preceded in death by her step father, J.L. Pittman; husband, Ray Pierre; sisters, Mittie, Bonnie and Rosie; brother, Richard Rainey; and grandson, William "Goob" Pierre.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401 on Friday, March 26, 2021 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. A Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 pm, with Brother Michael Mathews officiating.

Entombment will follow at Howell Cemetery in Tickfaw, Louisiana.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Tangi Pines Nursing Center in Amite, LA.
